Smart Irrigation Controller
Developed the hardware and embedded firmware for a moisture-aware irrigation controller with wireless sensing, and led project delivery for the customer from concept through product execution.
Brief
The product goal was straightforward: make irrigation respond to actual conditions rather than fixed schedules, and do it with hardware that could survive real consumer use.
What I Built
I developed the hardware and firmware for the controller, integrated the sensing approach, and supported the project through delivery. That included both implementation work and the broader responsibility of keeping the customer-facing outcome on track.
Engineering Focus
Consumer products like this need a balance of reliability, clarity, and cost discipline. The design had to be robust enough for outdoor usage while still being straightforward to manufacture and support.
Outcome
The final system translated environmental sensing into a product behavior people could trust without needing to understand the embedded complexity behind it.
