Smart Intercom Access System
Designed hardware and firmware for a connected intercom access product, including nRF52 firmware, circuit design, protocol reverse engineering, production, and compliance.
Brief
This product needed to connect existing building entry systems to a modern mobile access experience without replacing installed infrastructure.
This allowed users opening the buildings door via mobile app or allowing access to 3rd party providers.

Mobile app screens for granting and building access.
Background
I was the HW/FW Lead and Co-Founding Engineer at this startup.
What I Built
I developed the electronics and embedded firmware, worked through protocol reverse engineering, and supported the path from prototype to production-ready hardware. The scope also included compliance work and the practical tradeoffs that come with shipping connected hardware into real buildings.
Engineering Challenge
Products like this live at the boundary between legacy systems and new digital behavior. Reliability mattered more than novelty, so the design had to be robust, predictable, and supportable in the field.
Outcome
The result was a connected access device that translated complex building integration work into a product people could actually install and use.
