Loggy CLI
Loggy is a Python-based toolchain and CLI utility designed to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of logging and metrics aggregation stacks.
Built to simplify complex infrastructure setups, Loggy streamlines the orchestration of:
- OpenSearch
- OpenSearch Dashboards
- Data Prepper
- Fluent Bit
The stack is designed to be flexible and can be deployed on:
- AWS
- Vagrant instances
- Raspberry Pi edge devices
🚀 Key Features
- Automated Stack Deployment: Fully automated provisioning of complete logging environments, including instances, certificates, and services, using Ansible and Python.
- Automated Dashboard Creation: OpenSearch Dashboards did not provide a stable public API for generating consistent dashboards, so I built tooling around its undocumented APIs to make dashboard creation reproducible.
Auto-generated OpenSearch dashboards for consistent fleet-wide logging views.
- Agent Lifecycle Management: CLI tooling to add, configure, deploy, and destroy logging agents across different platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Ansible playbooks to handle environment setup, EC2 instance provisioning, firewall configuration, and TLS certificate generation.
