DSP Tooling for Consumer Hardware
Led a software tool initiative for digital signal processing while driving hardware and firmware architecture and coordinating external development partners for a Ring product.
Brief
This work sat at the intersection of tooling, embedded product development, and cross-team execution.
What I Owned
I led the development of internal DSP-oriented tooling while also shaping hardware and firmware architecture and coordinating with external partners. That meant the job was not only technical delivery, but also alignment across disciplines with different priorities and timelines.
Product Impact
Strong internal tools make hardware teams faster because signal-processing decisions become easier to validate and repeat. The tooling work supported product development directly instead of existing as a side project disconnected from shipping needs.
Outcome
The result was better leverage for the team: stronger architecture decisions, clearer collaboration boundaries, and tooling that supported product execution.
